AMBIGUOUS WILL

In the Supreme Court yesterday afternoon, Mr. Justice MacGrcgor heard legal argument concerning certain provisions in the will of the late Sarah Usher, spinster. By her will the tesitatrix, after making certain bequests, gave to two sisters the residue of her jewellery and personal effects equally. The will went on to bequeath further legacies to other persons, and subsequently there was a device and bequest of the residuary estate to charities in unequal shares. The Court was concerned with the question as to whether the bequests of the personal effects carried the entire residuary personal estate. At the conclusion of argument his Honour reserved his decision. Mr. H.. Johnston appeared for thel legatees claiming under the bequests of personal effects, Mr. A. Gray, K.C., with Mr. 1\ T.
