SOLICITOR FINED £100.
Henry Edward Elliott, solicitor, of Opoiiki, was charged at the Magistrate's Court to-day with failing to have his trust account audited. He did not appear. Mr. J. M. Tudhope, who conducted the prosecution, said the defendant had been fined £50 at Opotiki and £100 at Auckland on two occasions for similar offences, '•The defendant with his experience should have known better," observed Mr. W. G. lliddoll, S.M. "I can't see any way out of imposing the maximum penalty." A fine of £100 was imposed. .
