PERSONAL MATTERS
I The Hon. G. J. Anderson leaves for Auckland to-morrow on departmental business. He will return to "Wellington a week later. Mr. W. Bowler, clerk to the Aotea Maori Land Board, Wanganui, is on a departmental visit to Wellington. The Bcv. Dr. Erwin, of Christchureh, arrived this morning, and will occupy the pulpit at St. John's Church for the next three Sundays. Mr. J. Thomas, well known in commercial circles in New South Wales, who has been on a visit to the Dominion, returned to Sydney to-day. Mr. Harry Young, vice-president of the Retail Jewellers' Association,• New South Wales, and Mrs. Young are returning by the Ulimaroa after visiting the Exhibition aud an extended tour of the Dominion. Mr. C. J. M'Kenzie, Acting Engineer - in-Chief and Under-Secrctary of the Public Works Department, has been ap: pointed a member of the Engineera' Registration. Board, in succession to Mr. P. W. Furkert, who is absent from New Zealand on departmental business.
