LABOUR VIEW OF STRIKE
EXPECTATIONS SUEPASSED.
LONDON, 4th May. The Trado Union Congress has issued a statement: "All parts of the country, from John o' Groats to Lands's End, surpassed all expectations, not only the railway and transport workers, but other trades came out in a manner ivc did not quite expect immediately. The difficulty has been to keep the men in forming a second lino of defence. To that extent we naturally are mo3t gratified."
