SOUTHERLY WEATHER FORECASTED
Cold and wet weather prevailed yesterday and last night, with strong southerly winds. Conditions havo since moderated, although showers woro reported this morning in various parts of the North and South Islands. Wellington has added four points of rain the month's total. Foxton reported 60 points to-day, and Wang: vi one inch. The night was very cold. Tho barometer has risen everywhere, and still has a tendency to rise. Southerly winds, modorato to strong, are forecasted, with cold and changeable conditions. A very cold night is to be expected, i jrith frosti inland. " ,
