The going was fair "at the start, but got heavy at the end of the day. The totalisator Investments were £11,992, compared with £12,043 last June. Results :— Handicap Hurdles, of 150 soys; one mile and a half.—3 Koauau, 11.12 (W. Bowden), 1; 2 Kehutai, 9.6 (carried 9.7) (H Gordon), 2; 1 Koreao, 10.5 (A. M'Donald), 3. Also started: 4 Euchre 10.9, 7 Gold Peak 10.7, 9 White Ranger 9.2, 6 Roman 9.0 (carried 9.5), 11 Silent Dick 9.0 (carried 9.12%), 5 Strongholt 0.0, 12 Princess Fran !).O (carried 9.1). Won by two lengths, a length between second and third. White Ranger was fourth, followed by Euchre, Gold Peat, and Roman. Time, 2mlo 53 2-ssec.
