A liare which would be likely to baffle a pursuing hound has arrived at the London Zoo. It has been known to leap a distance of 30ft. It is known as a Cape jumping hare, and in outward appearance much resembles a jerboa, although it is said to be more nearly allied to the porcupines. No specimen has been exhibited at the Zoo since 1899.
