WOMAN DRIVER ACQUITTED

\ . AUCKLAND, sth May. After being refused leave to find that the accused : was. incompetent, the jury in the. Supreme Court acquitted Margaret Esther .Kogers, a married woman, who was charged with having negligently driven a 1 motor-car and thereby caused the death of a pedestrian. The case arose out of an accident in. Newmarket on Bth January, when Mrs. Thorburn, aged 68 years, was knocked down while crossing the roadway to board- a tramcar. One wheel of Mrs. Rdgers's £ar passed over her, and she died of shock the same night. ' .'
