ROYAL CHORAL UNION
The Royal Choral Union has chosen for its first concert of the season Handel's "Judas Maccabaeus." It is one of the few older 'oratorios of which one never wearies. The union at the present time is especially well equipped for the production of a composition that makes so many demands on the resources of a musical organisation, the soloists will be: Soprano, Mrs. J. Woodward; contralto, Mrs. Wilfred Andrews; tenor, Mr. Harold Prescott; and baritone, Mr. William Walters. The final rehearsal will take place at the Town Hall at 7.45 to-morrow evening. The performance will take place on Saturday at the Town Hall. The box plan may be inspected at The Bristol.
