TWO CHILDREN RESCUED.
AUCKLAND, This Day.
A fire in a six-roomed house at Mount Roskill, owned and occupied by Thomas Stone, resulted in three rooms being gutted. Two children, aged three and four years, were asleep, wheir»a neighbour, Mr. R. H. Wood, crawled through the smoko to their bedroom, wrapped them in a sheet, and carried them to his home safely.
