AUSTRALIANS DROP OUT OF SIGHT.
(Received 6th May, 2 p.m.) LONDON, sth May. Cricket, which was on everybody's lips three days ago, is completely dropped from thought. The Australians are not heard of. The fact that the rain-sodden turf at Leyton prevented play is generally disregarded. It only added to the gloom of those who, with difficulty, made their way to Leyton.
