LONDON, Ist May. M'Cormick was completely outclassed by Scott in the heavyweight championship, though he made a plucky fight. Scott appeared to play with him when he could have knocked him out. M'Cormiek failed to get in a single blow with any power, while Scott, after the eighth round, punished his opponent. M'Cormiek was obviously weak at the end of the ninth round. Scott forced the pace at the tenth round and scored freely with lefts and rights to the head. A hard right midway through the round staggered M'Cormiek, who was almost down when his seconds threw in the towel.
