Continues slow. Official quotations are:— English.—Finest farmers': Unchanged and Canadian. —Finest coloured' and white, 104s to 108s per cwt (lid to ll^d per lb). New Zealand. —Coloured, 92s to 93s per cwt (9%d to lOd per lb) ; white, 92s to 93s per cwt (»%d to lOd per lb). Australian.—Coloured, SBs to 93s per- cwt (9'/id to lOd per lb); white, 90s per cwt (9%d per lb). Shipment* of New Zealand, produce arrived this week per s.s. Cambridge, Tainul, Port Chalmers, and Gallic. WOOL AND TALLOW. Wool.—Sale3 continue. Demand is good for merino and fine crossbred at opening rates. Medium and coarse crossbred occasionally shows easier tendency. Tallow.— Spot market remains firm. Present quotations are:—Mutton: Unchanged. Beef: Sweet and/or mixed, 43a 3d to 44s per cwt; fair to good, 41s 6d to 43s 3d per cwt; dark to dull, 39s to 40s per cwt. Mixed: Fair to Bood, 41s Gd to 43s per cwt; dark to dull, 39s to 40s per cwt. Gut, etc.: 36s Cd to-39s Cd per cwt. APPLES. Apples.—Norfolk shipment of London portion generally good, though Cox's Orange show some waste over maturity.; some Dunn's Fav,ourlte badly pitted. Tainui now unloading, but uothing has been sold yet. No improvement In the market, and demand slow. Norfolk's prices at London are:—Cox's Orange, 10s to 15s up to 16s per case; Dunn's Favourite, 10s to 12s per case; Delicious, 11s to 14s per case Cleopatra, 14s to 10s per case; Jonathan and London, Pippin, and others, 10s 6d to 12s per case. Norfolk's' Liverpool consignment arrived in very good condition, but prices not yet available. : CEREALS. Hemp.—Manila easier and "J" grade May/ July shipments quoted £40 sellers. Sisal market quiet and Hlghpolnts May/July shipments quoted at £36 15s, fair £34 ss, value c.i.f. Oats.—Better demand and prices have advanced. Sellers No. 2 Canadian Western May shipments asking 28s c.i.f., but not much business at these prices. Chilean Stormklng's selling April/May shipments 20s 9d to 27s 9d c.i.f. Fair average quality Plate April/May shipments sold 21s VA& for 3201b. English best white sold up to 32s per 33Glb. New Zealand April/May shipments fiarton's nominal quotations 28s c.i.f., for 3201b. p eas .—Maple Partridge stocks New Zealand and Tasmanian practically cleared, and keen demand for good quality parcels arriving. No 1 New Zealand ex store, sold up to 90s, and April/May shipments up to 82s 6d c.t.f. Small demand for blue, principally Dutch, hand picked, at £18 to £20 per ton. Cocksfoot.—Quotations 82s 6d to 83s 6d f.0.b.. Copenhagen, for April shipments. Somewhat lower prices would be accepted for June-July shipments.
