TURNOVER TAX GETS THROUGH.
/PARIS, Ist April. The Chamber adopted the Finance Bill in its entirety by 236 votes to 159. It passed the clause increasing the tax on business turnover by 207 votes to 166, and afterwards adopted by 267 votes to 259 the article establishing a monopoly in the importation of sugar.
