BAN ON FAMOUS BAND
PAUL WHITEMAN IN LONDON.

The-British Ministry of Labour has forbidden Paul Whitetnan's famous band performing at tho Tivoli Kinema, London, on the ground that it would displace -thi/ty-two British bandsmen. Mr. Whiteman was allowed to play at the Kitkat Night Club, where his band received £2200 weekly, but the Ministry of Labour agree with the Musicians' Union in opposing American bands obtaining work to tho detriment of British musicians.
