ROADS SWARM WITH TROOPS
DEFENDEES LEAVING CITY.

Motor travellers from Pekin state that the road is swarming with an almost continuous procession of Mukden soldiers advancing on Pekin, while parallel columns are proceeding on either side of the road. Fifteen trains daily are leaving Pokin for Nankow and Kalgan, carrying Kuo Mm Chun's troops and equipment. are believed also to be moving across country on Nankow with the object of cutting off the remaining Kuo Mm Chun forces from the capiJal.
