NOTES FROM RICCARTON.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. The -weather was fine for training at Ricearton. Outside the course proper was used. There was good rain after a light frost. Precious covoved half a mile in 50 ",4-ssec, Bandalero taking 54sec. Delicious beat Lueinda in 50 4-ssec. Carnot did seven furlongs in lmin 33 sec, and Front Rank and Serotina five furlongs in lmin 4 4-ssec. Gold Light, brought home by Father O'Flynn, ran a mile and a quarter, the last nine, furlongs inSmin. RotrospectiWlth a mate over the last five furlongs, did seven furlongs in lmin 31 2-ssee. Civility sprinted half a mile brilliantly in 48 2-ssec. Rivalry and Centrepiece did a mile in lmin 45 2-ssec, Zarogoza seven furlongs in lmin 323 CC, and Young Loehinvar half a mile easily in 52sec. Note beat Spodo over half a mile in olscc, and Scrip did six furlongs in lmin JBsoc, Coulcur de Rose going the first part with her. Miss Flighty covered, half a mile in 50sec, and I4cinlus beat Murihaupo over six' furkngg in lmin 17 4-sscc,' Footfall did a mile in lmin 47 2-ssoc, and Violet 11. half, a mile in 49 4-ssec. Charlatan went'once round the steeplechase fences, jumping well. Grand Knight did six furlougs in lmin 17sec, Miiiotus accompanying him over the last part. . ■ j' Paper Chase did six furlongs alone in lmin 17 2-ssec, Limorielc boat Caleito over five furlongs in lmin 4 4-ssec, and Mantua and Rob half a mile up the back in 50 3-Bsec. Deucalion galloped a mile in lmin 4ft 2-ssoc, Paper Boy half a mile in 51 1-5 sec, and Lnrisqf in 52aec. Philander went six furlougs in lmin 20 2-ssoe, The Harp luilf a mile in 48 3-ssec, and Victory Bond live furlongs up the back in lmin Osec. Count Cavour ovcred a mile iv lmin 43 l-ssec ( the last half taking 50 3-ssee,J

Sayanora jumped two, hurdles moderately, losing his rider at the second. After, breakfast, the sun. shone brightly. Corn Money beat Receipt over five furlongs in lmin 4 l-ssec, and Piuthair easily beat Clandhu over five furlongs in lmin 4 4-ssec. Baldowa and' Set Sail covered seven furlongs in lmin 29sec, the former having a slight advantage at the finish. Rosenor and Los Ambus wera together at the end of six furlongs, timed at lmin 17 3-ssec. Miss Minerva, brought home by Brightling, did six furlongs in lmin 17sec. Many Colours outpaced Kapuna in a good school over four hurdles. Alyson .gave Phantasy a,' start and a beating over five furlongs, the last half-mile taking Slsec. Miny did a mile alone in lmin 46 2-ssec. Oriflamb, with a big weight up, galloped six furlongs, the last five taking lmin 6sec. .. Gold Brick boat Frivolous over half a mile in 50 l-ssec. Rapier and Chickwheat did seven furlongs in Imin 31 sec. Royal Divorce beat Fool 'a Paradise over six furlongs in lmin ?5 3-ssec, and Overdrawn beat Listening Post over the same distance in lmin 16 3-5 sec, Tommy Dodd joining iff over the last three furlongs. Commendation was exercised at the barrier. Grand Knight, Minotus, Spode, Note, Fool's Paradise, and Royal Divorce, are northern arrivals. Receipt, Corn Money, Rosenor', and Los Ambus have arrived from the South.
