HOCKEY
OLD TEAM RE-ESTABLISHED. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr. P. J. Atkinson presiding. A letter was received from the Government Life Insurance Department advising that it had been decided to re-establish the old Government Insurance team, which became defunct during the war period. An application for the affiliation of the club was made. It was stated that it had been decided at a meeting that the club enter the third grade championship, and that, subject to the approval of the association, the old colours* blue and black, be adhered to. It was decided to accept the affiliation of the club. The scheme outlined at the annual meeting of the association ■ for the insurance of players was discussed, and it was decided t > circularise all clubs on the matter, and forward.the letter on the subject received from the insurance company to the New Zealand Hockey Association for consideration. Mr. J. M'Alister was appointed de-puty-chairman of the Management Committee, and Mr. Dv Flou was elected to the position of assistant secretary. The following were elected to the various sub-committees:—Grounds and postponement, Messrs. Armstrong, Brennan, Boys; match and transfer, Messrs. Watchman, M'Alister, P. J. At'kinson; entertainment, Messrs. Perrin, Brennan, Armstrong; publicity, Messrs. Dv Flou P. J. Atkinson, Boys; director of stores, Mr. Sword. .Mr. H. M'Grcgor was appointed selector for the senior grade, and Mr. A. Cathie for the junior grade.
