to-day, Sir James Parr .Baid that, with the concurrence of the iPrime Minister, he would continue as i Minister of Education and PoatmasterjGeneral for two or three weeks yet, so that ha might clear up and complete 'important matters in hand in each Department. ."I expect," said Sir James, "to sail with my wife and family for England 'about 23rd April." Sir James Parr left to-day for Whangarei, where he is to open a new high school to-morrow. He will be enteritained at a complimentary banquet by ;the Mayor and councillors of Whanga;rei, the County Council, and the educational authorities. On Wednesday Sir ; James will be entertained at a luncheon by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. Farewell functions to Sir James and ■Lady Parr will be given by the New 'liynn and other school committees in 'Auckland on Thursday.
