Miss Turliervill, national vice-presi-dent of the Y.W.C.A., in presenting prizes at the Guildhall, said: "If thosp who talk about the modern girl would come to the Guildhall annually, they would see the true type and also what exercises and athlotics do." The cocktail type of which we are overtired of heaving hardly exists compared with real girls."
