CROSSING ACCIDENT
LORRY, SMASHED, DRIVER

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ■CEfK* jTOHTJRCH, 28th March. At 4.45 yesterday afternoon a train collided with a motor-lorry at tho Temploton railway crossing. An eye-wit-ness of tho accident stated that both the lorry and the train were travelling slowly. The driver of the lorry, B. Suckling, was thrown out of his seat by the impact, and he landed in front of tho ' engine.. There he was picked up by tho projecting cow-catche. and thrown aside, and so saved frem certain death. His injuries, however; were severe. He was taken, to the-hospital, where it was found he had suffered a fracture of the skull and severe head injuries. The motor-lorry was completely wrecked. On Saturday it was roported 4hat Suckling's condition had improved.
