BROOKLYN BAPTIST, v. "V" CLUB.

A return friendly match was played on Saturday between the Brooklyn Baptist Tennis Club and "V" Tennis Club on the former's courts at Brooklyn. After some very close games Brooklyn again won by 12 games to 8, 543 points to 494 points. In the evening the members of the Brooklyn Baptist Tennis Club entertained the members of the "V" Tennis Club at a social evening in the Baptist Schoolroom, Ohiro road, and a very enjoyable evening was spent by all present. The result of. the matches is as follows, Brooklyn players being mentioned first:— Ladies' Singles.—Miss M. Miller defeated Miss Woods, 30-9;. Miss M. Hunt defeated Miss. Lawrence, 30-20. ' Men's Singles.—Lennox lost to' Crosthwait, 24-30; M'Farlane defeated Petrie, 30-22. . • . ■ ■
