INTER-VARSITY SHOOTING
On Saturday afternoon the Viet, 'a University Ilifle Club shot in the Haslam Shield Competition under rather unfavo\irablo conditions. This competition is open to the universities of New Zealand, and is shot off annually. In the competition more than the actual honour of winning the shield is involved, aa this match is connected with the annual inter-var-sity tournament, and marks are awarded for the highest scores at the different ranges. The competition consists wholly of service shooting at three different ranges, 200, 300, and 500 yards. The following are the results of V.U.C.: —
