DE LUXE THEATRE.
"Wild Horse Mesa," one of the finest jtories of its kind ever screened, is showing again to-night at the De Luxe Theatre. The cast includes some ofthe screen's most popular actors. Jack Holt, fills the role of hero, ..-a hard-riding horse dealer, and opposite him plays Miss Billie Dove, one of the most Beautiful of Western story actresses.'Noah Beery takes the part of the villain, and does so with his usual verve for 'this class of character. Scenery and ensemble play a very prominent part in the success o£ the screening, and there aro several very thrilling, episodes, specially the scene that depicts the stampede of an immense mob of wild horses. "Wild Horse Mesa" was written by Zane Grey, than whom there is no more popular writer of Western talea, and who, on this occasion, has written entirely to the public taste. The programme includes a . gazette, in which many subjects of topical importance are shown, and another series of Stereoscopiks. Mr. L. D. Austin's orchestra plays a fine selection of music. One of the finest pictures that has been screened in Wellington will commence its . season at the De Luxe Theatre on Friday with a matinee on Saturday and Easter Monday at 2.30. The photoplay is a gigantic William Fox production, "As No Man Has Loved," adapted from Edward Hales's story, "The Man Without a Country." Of the countless pictured stories ■ transferred from fiction pages or history records, this masterpiece is one of (the most compelling. The storm scenes, _ m which the gallant old frigate, Essex, battled; is a thrilling spectacle. As the _ ship rolls and plunges through the mountainous waves, while Nolan and the sailors struggle to control a cannon that has broken its lashings and threatens to destroy the ship, the onlookers find thrills pursuing one another. It is one of the greatest love stories ever pictured, and it deals with a man's love, for his nation and home and of a woman's love for a man. Iv addition, by special engagement, the renown- " ed baritone, Mr. C. O'Hagan, will nightly '■fender choice baritone songs. A big sup- :' porting programme has also been arranged, whilst Mr. Austin has specially selected a musical programme of rare beauty for the Orchestra De Luxe.
