Tokugawa, Japanese ConaulGeneral, on his return from New Zealand, said that he was sure that, in time there would be more-opportunities for trade between Japan-and New Zea-' land, as both countries were economically complementary to each other. He, hoped that it would be possible to establish a direct steamship service between Japan and New Zealand.-: -:
