HOSTEL AT CLIVE GRANGE BURNT.
NAPIER, 23rd March. A hostel of between sixteen and twenty rooms on the beach at Clive Grange, conducted by Mrs. L. Williams, was completely destroyed by fire Uiis afternoon, It was a two-storied wooden building, and th*e fire burnt fiercely, there being no fire-fighting appliances with which to check it. A fair amount of furniture and bedding was , saved. The insurances are, not available.
