WELLINGTON DISTRICT BOARDS CONFER.
(By Telegraph.—iPmh Association.) FEILDING, 23rd March. Fifteen rabbit boards of the Wellington Province held a conference here to-day under tae chairmanship of Mr. A. P. Francis (chairman of the Kiwitea Board), and the following boards were represented: Aki- . tio, Eastern Pohangina, Apiti, Pohangina, Pukebkahu, • Taoroa, Hunterville, Umutoi, Cheltenham, Manawatu, Hawkes Bay, Moawhanga, Puketoi, Waiotara, Wangaehu, and Oroua. Mr, Wright, principal inspector, for the Agricultural Department, was in attendance. The following remits were adopted:— "That the Government indent the wire- ' netting oh' order from the rabbit boards'; that strychnine and phosphoriaed poisons i carry a .Government label of guarantee; that the bpardshave power to extend their [< boundaries where asked by settlors con-, ■' cerned; that if so desired the. boards have :-.;.. power to divide the districts; into, wards '■■ of not less than 20,000 acres for voting pur; -._ J poses; that the boards be given power to borrow money fqr the erection, of < emV ' ployees' . , : '.y,.:, .■?.' i':,:'; /.-.
