SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY
The bi-weekly work of entertaining the seafarer continues steadily at the Sailors' Friend Society. The concert given Jast evening by Miss J. Josephs met with great success. The performers were: Misses Brown, Josephs, Tolley, Davies, Gifford, Heightoh, Bird, and Messrs. Saxton, Daisley, and Hamilton. Miss Bird was at the piano-. Mi\ James Moore . (missioner) spoke on "What I Dug from the Press." Mesdames Flanagan and Frain donated the prizes for the competitions, which were won by men from the Cumberland, Ilotorua, and Athenic.
