NEW HEADQUARTERS AT HOBART
(United Press Association.^-Copyright.) (Received 23rd March, 10 a.m.) HOBART, This Day. According to information received here, Hobart is to be made the base for the new 16,000-ton whaling motorship and five steam trawlers, which will hunt whales in tho Ross Sea next sum; mer. The vessels belong to the Norwegian Ross Sea Whaling Company, and recently returned to New Zealand after a season in the Antarctic. It is proposed next season to send a new ship in addition to the present mother ship and ten steam whalers, which will be able to take 160,000 barrels of whale oil.
