"Has the Town Clerk power to excise from my report any jwUrjii lie likes, becauso if so the record of my work put before you is not a true one?" said Inspector Collings at last evening's meeting of tho Lower Hutt Borough Council when'making a statement that two paragraphs of his report had been cut out before the report reached councillors. Aftc* some discussion on the matter had taken place, Mr. Collings said, "This may make my job too hot to hold down, but I want justice done." The Mayor then asked that the matter lie dealt with in committee, and this course was adopted.
