GOOD PROGRESS LOCALLY.

The annual report of the Wellington Baseball Association, to be presented at the animal meetin in the Y.M. C.A.-rooms on Thui■ '■ evening, at 8 o'clock, states that- excellent progress has been made wiu the gam^ in Wellington, especially amongst cricketers who have found that the winter season at baseball has. had most beneficial effects on their erickot during 'he summer. Three baseballers gained representative cricketing honours during the summer. Two games were played by the men cf the. American fleet'during tho recent visit, and these were ix great education, not only to- the local baseballera, but to the Wellington public.
