RAID FRENCH STEAMER.

(Renter's Telegram.) (Received 12th February, Boon.)

PEKIN, llth February. The French steamer Jade., bound for Hong Kong from Kwongehauwan, was the subject of a pirate raid. Seven armed men held up the captain and crew at 1 the revolver-point, and forced the captain to steer,the steamer to Mias Bay. Bullion worth 80,000 dollars was transferred to tampans, after which the pirates decamped. The crew and passengers were not molested.
