STRAND THEATRE.
Tfce programme which commenced at the Strand Theatre to-day is one that should suit all tastes. Reginald Denny is the dashing star of "Where Was I?" and he ha* a good supporting cast, which indodes Pauline Garon, Marion Nixon, Tyrone Power, and Chester Conklin. It is a rollicking story of the supposedly terrible predicament in which a staid young busihefe man finds himself when his business rival attempts to break up the engagement between his daughter and Denny. Alice Joyce, Kenneth Harlan, and Walter Long have the leading parts in "White Man." The story deals with the trials of a young society girl, who is about to become married to a man for whom she hat no lore. While thinking of her awful future she meets a young aviator about t3 start for the interior of Africa, and on the impulse of the moment she decides to escape from her unfortunate position. She meet! with many adventures until she ia finally kidnapped by a renegade white man and carried off to his plantation. A humorous cartoon and a Pathe Geaette complete a fine' entertainment.
