AMUSEMENT PALACE DESTROYED

Fire destroyed the Palais Picture Theatre, on St Kilda Esplanade, Melbourne. The building, which covered half an acre, was totally destroyed. The Tower of Luna Park, adjoining, caught fire, but was extinguished. The damage amounts to many thousands ■ of pounds.
