BIG INCREASE IN BUTTER
VICTORIAN DAIRY PRODUCE.

MELBOUBNE, This Day. According to figure* issued by the As-sistant-Government Statistician, the production of butter in Victoria for 1924-25 showed a big increase over the previous year. Both cheese and bacon showed a slight decline. The butter made in factories amounted to 95,454,----000 lbs, and on farms 5,395,000 lbs, a total of 100,849,000 lbs. The previous year's total was 86,880.000 lbs. Cheese made totalled 0,193,000 lbs compared with 7,216,000 lbs for the previ-. •ou/ season. The amount of bacon and hams cured was 21,993,000 lbs compared with 22,540,000 lbs for the previous year. ' (
