SIR FRANK HEATH

SOUTHERN; ITINERARY AMENDED,

Sir Frank Heath, who is visiting New Zealand at the inyitation of the Government to inquire into the possibilities of scientific research in regard to the primary and. secondary industries ofl the Dominion, will leave Hamilton to-day, by motor for the thermal district. On route lie will inspect the areas in which "bush sickness" is prevalent in the vicinity of Mamaku. Friday will be'spent in Rotorua, and afterwards Sir Frank and s Lady Heath will proceed by motor to Napier. They will arrive in Wellington on Monday ,and cross to Nelson in the evening. Mr. J. Hislop, , Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs, will accompany Sir Frank Heath on the North Island section of the tour, but Dr» J. S. MacLaurin, Dominion Analyst,'will conduct him on his South Island visit, the itinerary for which has been slightly amended. On Tuesday and Wednesday next Sir Frank Heath will be at Nelson, and on .Saturday, 20th February, he will arrive at Christchurch, via the West Coast. On 22nd February he will proceed to Dunedin, 1 where he will stay until 26th February, and meet the university professors, members of the Senate, as well as members of the local Industrial and Engineering Association. From 28th February to 2nd March, the party will be in Christchurch, where Sir Frank will have 'discussions with the university professors and the industrial and engineering representatives. He will be in Wellington on jjrd;and 4th March for a similar purpose, and will afterwards go to Taranaki for two or three days. Sir Frank and Lady Heath will leave for Auckland on 14th March, and will depart from the Dominion two I days later.
