7 ROSE-HAHN CONTESTS.
Great interest is bein^; taken in the second meeting of Randolph Rose, the ;New Zealand champion miler, and Lloyd Hahn, the American champion, at Athletic Park neit Saturday. Rose is training in Wellington, and ran a mile unpaced in 4min 22sec at Athletic Park this mornine. He is reported to be feeling the benefit of last Saturday's first race, and hopes are entertained that he will .reverse the Masterton result. Hahn has been doing steady work, and is very confident of the outcome of the race. Seholz, who will alio appear, has been doing speed work, and has alsjo devoted much time to coaching young runners. On Saturday he will have to contqnd with some of New Zealand's foremost runners in Jenkins,' Leadbetter.'Kyle, and Paris in special invitation heats of 100 yards and 220 yards handicap. The booking for the stand reserved seats has been exceptionally brisk, and there promises to be a record crowd present. During ths day the Artillery Band will ifltside a special programme of music. .
