FIRE IN SYDNEY
BIG BUILDING GUTTED,
(United Press Association-^Copyrißht.) (Received 10th February, noon.) '
SYDNEY, This Day. A fire at an early hour this morning practically gutted the interior of Aberdeen House, a seven-storied building in Clarence street, City. The damage will probably amount to £ 80,000, The outbreak started on the second 'floor and had a good hold when discovered. The fire brigades were powerless to prevent the spread of the flames from floor to floor, as the interior of the building was largely composed of wood and the stairway and liftwell helped to create a draught. The building was occupied by several firms.
