DEFEAT.
■( PARIS, 9th February. The Government was defeated by 287 votes to 233 in the Chambei of Deputies on a proposal to compel the exchange of bearer into inscribed bonds in order to prevent the evasion of the income tax. It has no intention of resigning. . " ■
