STUD FLOCK CREATES KEEN DEMAND.

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WANGANUI, 9th February. Mr. John Donald's Westmere stud flock was auctioned by Messrs. Wright, 1 Stephenson, and Co. to-day. The flock was built up from imported rams, including choice animals bred by His Majesty the King, the Duke of Richmond, the Earl of Derby, and the Rev. C. H. Brocklebank. The sale .was attended by representative North Island farmers. A fine Southdown ram by an imported sire brought 150 guineas, which is a record for a New Zealand-bred Southdown. Others fetched 90gns and 70gns. The top prices were: One-shear ewe, 35gns;' older ewes, 40gns; stud ram, 150gns; ram lamb, 37gns; «\vo lamb, 16gns. The demand was keen throughout.
