ACCIDENTS AT MANGAHAO

TWO CASES.

PALMERSTON N., 9th Feb. Suffering from injuries to the fingers of his left hand, caused through getting caught in a 'wire rope, William Haynes, aged 41, employed at Mangahao, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital, where an operation was performed this afternoon with the object of trimming up the injured memibeis. Though extremely painful, the injury is not expected to prove aerious.

Another employee at Mangahao, William M'Guinness, aged 50, was admitted to the institution this morning suffering from several fractured ribs and bruising of the back, sustained through being caught in a fall of earth yesterday afternoon. .
