INFANT DROWNED
A sad drcwning accident occurred at Wainui-o-mata yesterday, which resulted in. the death of an infant, one year and eight months of age. The child, Vincent Herbert Eevell Wardell, was the son of Mrs. WardeH, of Sydney, who is at present employed at the Wainui Post Office. While Mrs. "Wardell was attending to her duties the child wandered away, and was drowned in the Wainui stream which flows close to the Post Office. An inquest is being held at Lower Hntt this afternoon.
The swifb is one of the fastest birds known. It can fly at a speed of 200 miles ari hour, .
