CONCERNING CHINA

Sir, —The following extract from a letter I received from North China appears to me to justify publication:— "I have finally decided to permanently reside in the East, as so many others are doing. New Zealand liter all can provide nothing we cannot get here quite at good and much cheaper, the deciding factor being earthquakes, and the absence ot competent domestic assistance, etc." To the hundreds of European children born out East, the East is home..
