ROGUE AND VAGABOND
STOBY OF AN .AUCKLAND
BUBGLABY.
(Br Telegraph.—Prew Association.) AUCKLAND, Bth February. On 11th January the premises of Hugh Wright, Ltd., in Queen street, were burglariously entered and a considerable quantity of men 't wearing appaiel was stolen, the shop being left in a state of chaos.
Thii morning a young man, Cecil Francis John Hnnt, appeared at the Auckland Magistrate's Court on a charge of breaking and entering the premises, and on the application of the Senior-Sergeant, was remanded to appear in a week's time. Prior to appearing at the Auckland Court accused was charged at Otahuhu with being a rogue and a vagabond, in that he was found on the enclosed premises of King's College without lawful excuse. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
All the property alleged to have been stolen'from Hugh Wright's has been recovered from the.rubbish dump at Otahuhu. Accused was found hiding in a large cupboard in an unoccupied room at the college.
