LONDON, 31st January. Two by-elections in Scotland resulted in the return of two Conservative candidates for seats previously held by tho Government.. The results were> —
East Renfrew.—A. M. Macßoberts (0.), 11,817; Rev. J. Munro (Lab.), 10,889.
Dumbarton. —Thorn (C..), 12,680; Martin (Lab.), 11,610; Beed (L.), 2146. \
The Dumbarton election was necessitated by the appointment of the sitting member, Mr. B. P. Fleming, to a Scottish Judgeship. .
