Taking advantage of favourable conditions, .Commander Franco left Cape Verde Island at 2 o'clock this morning on his flight to Fernando de Noronha. He hopes to bridge the Atlantic in sixteen hours.
(IIEUTER'S TELEGRAM.) RIO DE JANEIRO, 30th Jan. Completing'the longest stage of the Spain to Argentina flight, Commander Franco's seaplane landed in the be a off Fernando de Noronha on Saturday evening, ami was towed into harbour. The airman had already- traversed 3305 miles. The next lap of the flight will be 279 miles, from Pernanibuco to the Brazilian mainland.
