(BI TELtORAPH.—PRBBB ASSOCIATION.)

NELSON, 30th January. The Hawke Cup match between Nelson and Wanganui commenced this morning on a wicket that was a trifle soft as a result of overnight rain. Nelson won the toss and batted, but they' could do but little against the bowling of Holland and Bernau. The first four wickets fell for 28 runs. 11. Eden and Biggar then made a stand, and at the luncheon adjournment tour wickets had fallen for 65 runs, Eden not out 23, being only double-figure scorer.
