The New Zealand ChampionhJp Swimming Meeting opened this morning, in good weather. All the event.l, except the heats decided this morning, will be held by night. Competitors are present from all parts of tha Dominion. Results:—
100 Yards.—First heat: A. Adamson (Auckland) 1, D.- P. Lindsay (Canterbury) 2, L. Fairgray (Auckland) 3; time 59 l-ssec.' Second heat: W. Dowsett (Wanganui) 1, I). Sutherland (Canterbury) 2, J. Cameron (Wellington) 3; time 59 2-ssec.
Intermediate Boys 220yds.—First heat: E. Bridson (Auckland) 1, L. Pitch (Canterbury) 2, E. Field (Ashburton) 3; time, 2min 45sec. Second hoat: W. Cameron (Wellington) 1, W. R-ylands (Wanganui) 2, P. Mathnws (Wanganui) 3; time, 2min 52sec.
