LODGE MEETING
The,annual meeting of Loyal Wellington Past Grands' Lodge, Manchester Unity. Oddfellows, was held on Wednesday evening, when Bro. J. H. Kraft (president) was -in the chair. Three members were advanced to the E.S. degree, six were given the V.G., and six had tho N.G. degree conferred on them. Bro. H. R. Johnson delivered the E.S. degree, Bro. J. H. Kraft the W.G., and Bro. H. J. Dormer the IN.G. Bro. E. Bell was examining officer, and Bro. L. Kitchen conducting officer. Tho statement of receipts and expenditure showed the receipts- at £28 8s lOd, while the expenditure was £18 15s lOd. Bro. Blair, D.G.M., congratulated the lodge on-the excellent position disclosed. A vote of thanks was passed to the sec-retary,-Bro. R. K. Couper. The election of officers resulted as follows: President, Bro. H. R. Johnson; vicepresident, Bro. H. J. Dormer; lecture master, Bro. R. Bell; warden, Bro. R Nightingale; guardian, Bro'. H. P. Webb; secretary and treasurer, Bro. R. K. Couper; judges of ritual shield competition, Bro. A. C. Blair, F. Taylor, and J. 8. Wiley. Bro. J. H. Kraft, when vacating the president's chair, presented the lodge with a chairman's gavel, for which he was thanked by the new president. A vote of thanks was accorded Bro. J. H. Kraft and Bro.' L; Kitchen for services rendered during the year. A New Year message was received from Bro. A. G. Shrimpton, G.M. of New Zealand, and an invitation was received and from Loyal Combination Lodge to attend the celebration of their jubilee on 24th February. Bro. A. C. Blair, D.G.M.; then installed the officers in their chairs, being assisted by Bro. L. Kitchen.
