WORSER BAY CARNIVAL
One of the most popular outings in Wellington for "Anniversary Day is the annual swimming and life-saving carnival at Worser Bay. The club this .year hopes to eclipse all previous efforts, and given a tine day should succeed. In addition to the swimming and life-saving events, there will • be numerous sideshows on the beach. The Wahler Cup life-saving competition will occupy most of the morning of Anniversary Day, and the swimming events, for which record entries have been received, will occupy tho afternoon. The carnival will be continued the following afternoon (Saturday), when there will be an ocean swimming race, and also the arrival of Father Neptune.. The side-shows will be going on both days, and each day will finish i.p with a dance. The beach at Worser Buy is becoming more popular each year, as besides being perfectly safe for swimming there are some ideal spots for picnic parties. There will be extra trams on both the Seatoun and Miramar lines.
